Skydance Paramount Plans to Eliminate Nearly 2,000 American Positions – Report

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to start large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 positions in the United States under a cost-cutting plan valued at $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts are a result of the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed this past August valued at $8.4bn.

More overseas workforce reductions are expected, as the firm aiming to announce all specifics in its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.

Prior news stated that Paramount planned to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by early November.

As of December 2024, Paramount had nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 project-based staff.

The company did not immediately respond regarding the report.
